Marriage Licenses


Please present by 4:00 pm. to have a Marriage License processed on the same day.


The cost of the License is $27.50.


If you had a prior marriage, you must know the month, date and year of the divorce or death of your prior spouse(s) as well as maiden names, when applicable. Divorce papers are necessary if your divorce was finalized within the last 30 days.


Both parties must have an original birth certificate. If you are under the age of 18 you must have your original birth certificate and both parents must sign the marriage license. If one parent has custody, a certified copy of the custody papers must be presented. If a party is under the age of 16, in addition to parents written consent, you must have a court order from the judge.


You must get married within 30 days of the license being issued.


There is a 72 hour waiting period before the marriage ceremony.


If you intend to enter into a covenant marriage, you will be asked to submit your declaration of intent and affidavit and attestation.

The downloadable questionnaire is required to obtain the license and can be filled out prior to coming to the office.
